Had purchased Samsung Galaxy phone gift for wife from SSK Retail Pvt Ltd in 23 Aug 2015. They also sold me gadget insurance of Syska and informed that any damage will be taken care of. As I had paid bill using my credit card the bill as well as insurance was in my name. In Nov 2015 mobile fell from wifes hand & screen was damaged. My wife filed for insurance claim & gave all details to Syska. They verified the documents of claim & rejected the claim saying mobile was damaged by third party not by the insured person. I called the SSK Retail Pvt Ltd and asked them why they had not informed me that the insurance needs to be in name of the mobile user, in this case my wife when I had told tham that am buying this mobile as gift for my wife. They agreed that they had missed this info & replied back to me that I can go and challenge & file any complaint for this & they did not care.
Not able to claim insurance for damaged moile screen costing Rs 12000/ for replacement. Insurance money paid on Gadget insurance Rs 2000. Mental stress dealing with Syska third party (their Sales rep whom we had submitted mobile & documents for verification of claim had used our mobile for taking her pictures).
