I have Purchase “Sony Xperia go”(Model No ST27i) handset from Mobile zone Pune on 16 Sep 2012. It has been claimed that this mobile is water resistant. But on 16 June 2013 ,Handset got wet in normal rain in Pune and water did not went inside the handset, but handset started malfunctioning as switch on/off button was not working, so i taken handset to Sony India Authorized Service Center name “Chaitanya electronics Pune” on 17th June 2013 When i submitted handset it was in perfect condition and only switch on/off button was not working. They said they will be look for problem and fix it as handset is in warranty but later they said that there is liquid ingression so it cant be consider in warranty. then i ask them to repair it i will pay the repair amount if company doesn’t consider it in warranty. But continuous follow up also they did not give satisfactory answers, then on today when i went to service center and ask for status , they said Handset can not be repaired and you have to pay 15,000 so that handset can be replaced but wont repair it. Customer care guys are saying they have upgraded the software but still handset is not working and no improvement in service. They are not ready to share screen shot of handset as well which indicates liquid ingression They are not helping at all.
I want Handset to be repaired by Sony India or to be replaced as they have claim that it is water resistance. they havent repaired it and asking for money to get it replaced though it is in warranty period .
