Following is the text of the mail, which I sent to service department of SONY on 21st OCT 2014 and No reply was received till date. Hence now I am pursuing the same with the consumer forum. This complaint is regarding Job No. W114100104187 punched on your system on 1st Oct 2014.(COPY ATTACHED) I owned a black colored Sony Xperia Z1 which was bought on 17/12/2013. It was having screen flickering problem during calls. After 2-3 visits and software update, the coordinator sent the phone for swap as it was some hardware issue. On 9th Oct 2014, when i visited your service center, to my surprise they provided me with a WHITE Xperia Z1 which I refused to accept. To which they told, they will communicate with H.O asap to replace the color to BLACK. After repeated calls to your toll free No. Ur call representative told that, it would take a week’s time to change it. I visited your service center VISTA ELECTRONICS on 17th Oct, they told me that Head Office has not replied to our mail regarding color change. If Head Office is not replying to such serious issues, how come the company at such a scale works? Anyhow one of your service engineer told me that Company is giving refurbished handsets in poor condition of Black color and made me accept the WHITE Phone. I had to accept it under protest as I had no other option left as I was without any handset for 17 days. Now after using the phone for almost 15 days, I realized that it has the same screen flickering problem which I faced in my last BLACK handset. I m totally fed up with going to service center again and again.
Please make the BLACK colored Xperia Z1 available in MINT Condition at the earliest or refund my full amount of the bill. I m totally dissatisfied with customer service of SONY
