W114031804707 previous job W114011803840 Phone problem: message pops up as:- “the accessory’s microphone and buttons are not available” every 10- 15 seconds and message cannot be turned off permanently. Issue: This issue was created by the service staff during the repair of previous problem and hidden from me while giving delivery (right of information). The Sony customer care 180030002800 misguided me that this is a software issue and I can solve it only own..hence I did not take the phone to the service centre immediately. All this happened within warranty period. Once when I could get time and go to the centre I was told it is outside warranty and cannot be repaired and or I should pay approx 8000 to change circuit board. my requirement: I want the phone to be repaired without charges or a nominal charge. as the problem was not caused by me but by the serviceman. Description I gave my phone for display problem under job W114011803840 within the warranty period and took delivery with the problem resolved. the display set was changed. But a new problem came up at the time of delivery itself. the phone displayed a message- “the accessory’s microphone and buttons are not available”. this was noticed while taking delivery but as there was little charge and as the message disappeared when given OK, I took the phone back. But later I noticed this keeps popping up every 15 seconds. The service should have known this issue while repairing previous problem but did not disclose to me may be because as it was very difficult to repair or costed Rs. 8000/-. Same day I called customer care 180030002800 and I was told there is bug in the software and I can update in on my own which I have been trying hard..but could not rectify..at this point I was misguided by sony customer care that this is a minor software update issue but it is a high cost hard ware issue. (all this happened within the warranty period) Later I took the phone back to the service center on 18.03.2014 and they told me the issue can be rectified now and made me wait for more than three hours. An estimate of 170 was noted on the bill. But without solving the problem I was sent back. After a few days later I was told this is being sent for estimation and I should come back after a week, again after a week I received an sms the phone is ready to be taken back but without repair.!! This is why it was not repaired in the first instance. The number on the bill 30137152 is full time busy..the manager at 9345493749 told me they cannot believe my story. when asked for the cost I was told it will be approx Rs. 8000 This. should be borne by the center and not me as they cause the issue and hid it from me and customer service misguided saying it was a minor software issue and i can do it on my phone on internet. Every time I call the customer care and local service centre the dont disclose the phone
Relief: I want the phone repaired or replaced witout charge.
