Charges agreed were Rs 30000 for household goods and Rs 15000 for Car (Maruti Zen Lx Regn No MH04 AY 7968). The cost was to include packaging , loading , transportation, unloading at Rawatbhata and unpacking and putting large items in place at destination. Car was given with petrol tank full and was to be delivered at Rawatbhata, with petrol tank full. The time of transit told by Sh J Chaudhary (M/s Suraj Movers and Packers) was 3 days for household goods and 5-6 days for car. On 19th May the transporter was to report at 0800 hrs at Tarapur residence for packing and loading, but he arrived at 2000 hrs on same day, citing a traffic jam at Manor on NH8 as reason, which was not corroborated by others including our Departmental buses between Mumbai and Tarapur as well as others in our acquaintances who’d been in transit at that place that day.Out of only 3 days leave that I’d got for shifting, I had lost one full day in waiting for the transporter. Packing and loading was done from 19th 2000 hrs to 20th 0800 hrs (truck no MH04 DS 5902), as we were to move back to Rawatbhata by train in the evening. Sh J Chaudhary was paid Rs 34000 on same day in cash and he agreed to collect remaining 11000 on delivery at Rawatbhata. Three days later, Sh Chaudhary called up and threatened not to start the truck from Manor till full payment was made. After a 15 minute long argument, he agreed to accept Rs 6000 by online payment (which I paid online next day morning) and remaining Rs 5000 at destination. Thereafter, we kept calling Sh Chaudhary’s mobile numbers 9819931522 and 8424031522 without getting any response upto 26th May. On 26th May Sh Chaudhary sent me the truck drivers’ name & mobile number (Sachin 7045187xxx) by SMS and told me he’s arriving at Kota (about 50 kms away from Rawatbhata). When I got no response from driver as well as Sh Chaudhary all day on 26th, I approached Rawatbhata Police station, who called up the driver and asked him his and truck’s whereabouts. On 27th May afternoon I got call from Kota from Car mover Sh Tahir’s (9323232xxx) office asking to pay up Rs 5000 (pending as per loading receipt with them) and take delivery of car from Kota. I refused to comply quoting the terms agreed upon with M/s Suraj Movers and packers.On 27th afternoon, household goods arrived in another truck No RJ20 GA 5052 around 1500 hrs.

I want my car back and relief to tune of Rs 25000 towards damages to material, plus 1 lakh towards compensation for harassment
