purchased a Symphony diet 22i cooler, within a few days of the purchase, the cooler started malfunctioning therefore I registered a complaint and received an SMS with complaint number VHC-7E13037 stating that Mr. Surendra Pal would contact me. The person visited on weekday and closed the complaint stating the room was found locked. Later the problem resolved against complaint number VHC-14E13006 after nearly 2 weeks. The cooler broke down again after around 2 weeks so again filed complaint and received an SMS with complaint number RYL-5F13001 stating Gaurav Kapoor would contact me within 24 hours however that did not happen. Since there was no response, I contacted them again, received an SMS stating that since the estimate given was not approved, the case was closed. However, no one contacted me and the cooler was within warranty hence the estimate was not required. Again upon escalating the issue, I was contacted by a similar SMS with complaint number VHC-11F13021 (Mr. Surendra Pal) but there was no contact again. I tried calling the phone number provided in the SMS, but the number was wrong. I tried contacting a number given on a page online and reopen the complaint, but even that was closed. Later on escalating the problem I was contacted by them again. The executive updated me on my complaints’ status and told RYL-5F13001 is registered with South Delhi Centre so he could not check its status, and Complaint # VHC-11F13021 was registered with the name of Inderjeet. He further stated that motor and PCB were replaced on June 29, 2013, but it was resolved on May 18, 2013 (second complaint). In few months of purchase, I have been barely able to use the cooler as most of the time it was either at the repair center or not working. I tried to resolve the issue several times, but have not got a positive response from them. Even sent them a letter in this regard, but the request for a refund has been turned down, no response to the letter. Attaching letter sent.
1. Provide refund or replace the set (which was turned down ny their representative stating that is not in company’s policy). 2. Pay a sum of Rs. 25,000/- towards the mental agony suffered 3. Apologize for all the inconvenience caused to the Complainant
