Respected Sir This is regarding Tata Indicom Photon Plus connection I had back in 2011. I had HSIA 1GB plan monthly which was Rs. 650 monthly rental. After several months of usage (upto one year of being a loyal customer paying all the bills on time) I decided to upgrade to unlimited plan which cost around Rs. 900. I went to local centre in chembur to talk to an executive regarding the change and he said from next monthly cycle it will be changed. The following month I used the net as though it was unlimited. I did not know one can check the plan online. I was living in hostel and studying MBBS at that time and not some thief trying to cheat tata indicom by using unlimited net! To my horror I received a bill of more than Rs.3000 the end of that month. I called the company several times. The people said my plan was never changed and that I should have checked online! If I’m going to a center just to get the plan changed I expect the person to change it. I didn’t know the name of that person who I met at the center. And somehow it was my mistake and not the mistake of the person who sat at the counter not doing his job properly and giving people wrong info! I requested them several times that I wouldn’t have used the net as unlimited if I knew it was limited and that its not my fault if the plan was not changed. They stopped replying to me and I stopped the connection. But the last bill is still unpaid and I refuse to pay the amount as it wasn’t my fault. I am to this date ready to pay the price for unlimited monthly plan for that month. But tata indicom refuse to help me in any way and continue sending mails to my address asking me to pay the amount. I am now a doctor in London but whenever I visit my home in Mumbai I see dozens of legal letters from Tata Indicom threatening me with action unless I pay the amount! Several customer care executives promised me that my issue will be solved and the amount will be changed and I even received an email from Tata Indicom stating that my issue has been solved! I am feeling absolutely helpless and both me and my mother spent months trying to resolve this but then we just gave up. But after seeing other similar complaints online recently I decided to speak up.
