am Tata Sky customer Id No: 10011 which was procured in the name of my father Samir Barat (grossly misspelt by the local distributor) somewhere in Dec 2006 vide digicard No: 000016938359. Initially the set top box supplied by you was Thomson make @ Rs 2999/- The original Thomson set top box replaced on 20th Nov 2013 since by that time the technology has moved to MPEG 4 and the original box was not compliant. The new box was obviously a cheap one supplied by you procured from a relatively little known vendor and not Thomson which is a well-known manufacturer. Recently to our utter dismay the system started malfunctioning and blacked out the channels one after another. On reporting this and after email exchanges their suggestion was to BUY one more box in place of the existing one on payment of Rs 500 which again comes with only 1 month warranty. Then after a few days one technician appeared at our premises and checked the equipment and found fault with the LNB. He informed us that a replacement will cost Rs 350/- which we refused. Even then a visit charge of Rs 150 was imposed.
We paid Rs 2999 about 7 years back for the connection and last recharge as Rs 350/- hence I propose that TATA SKY pays back Rs 5000 and resume their services immediately and unconditionally. The compensation includes harassment and no signal supply during Feb and March. Otherwise we demand Rs 25000 for a total settlement and termination of services.
