My Customer ID: 1011990866. In January 2014, I had subscribed to an additional Tata Sky connection, following the installation of which, both my TV’s began to receive weak and patchy signals. The visual quality was poor and the images kept bouncing on the screen and even disappearing. This was when we lodged a complaint with Tata Sky. Their technicians came over and suggested that the reason for the poor signal was because the coconut palm in my front yard was obstructing the signal. They suggested cutting a few branches off the palm would restore the service. We adhered to their advice and had the branches chopped off and the signal still did not improve. Then several technicians(mostly incompetent) came over and in the end concluded that the dish had to be re-located but none of them gave a guarantee that we would receive a signal. Then Tata Sky field office refused to send anymore technicians till we re-located the dish. Hence, we had to listen to their advice, and now towards the end of April, had welders come over and weld the installation base on the roof in a position which was suggested by Tata Sky technicians. We were receiving good coverage for one day and then the same problem began manifesting. We again called up the technicians who now say that they would have to relocate the dish and are asking us to weld the installation base onto another section. They cannot guarantee that that will solve the problem nor can they pin point a solution. We have spent several thousand rupees on getting the welding done as per the Tata Sky technician’s guidance and cannot afford to shell out more money on dubious advice. We have wasted a lot of our time on it as well. The dish is now on the highest position of our roof and has a pretty clear view of the sky; yet their technicians have still not been able to trace the signal.

The total damages include 2 months of shoddy cable connection, Rs. 2500 for welding, Rs. 630 for a new dish and Remainder of the Annual Subscription paid to Tata Sky
