They made the charge on 11th Nov 2013 whereas the said work was done in Sep 2013. There was zero balance at the time in my account so they made it into Rs -150. This itself shows the fraudulent practice since normally they will never do any work on consumer site until the account has positive balance of that much funds. In between Sep and Nov, they have called me many times on why I was not charging my tata sky account but not even once they told me about this charge. I have record of the various calls from tata sky. When I recharged my account and came to know of the unjustified charge, I filed complaint with Tata sky on 19th Nov 2013, they responded after lot of delay on 1st Dec 2013. Below is relevant excerpt from their email response from their latest email of 1st Dec with my response after that to them today morning. Simultaneously I am opening complaint with CORE, and if the issue is unresolved unsuccessful here I will file it in consumer court. —————–BEGIN >>This is with reference to the SR no. SR1911131090783, regarding your query on service visit charges. We would like to inform you that the query you placed with us regarding the service visit charges has been validated and the charges deducted from your account are applicable as the installer has visited your premises and resolved the technical query with material replacement —————–END Above is a false and misleading statement from Tata Sky, since the service technician had done the “material replacement” outside my home, as you can clearly see from the work order copy. I do not consider the issue as resolved and am within my full rights to pursue it in all and any legal forums till you refund fully the unjustified Rs 150 charge
