I had taken a Broadband connection from Tikona, when I was staying in Rajiv Swagruha Apartments, Chandanagar, Hyderabad. I have faced many problems from their services and have the service guy come and check the connection. This continued for 5 months and then I decided to Discontinue the services and I called the customer service helpline. I was told that they have registered my request and I would get a call from Tikona to confirm. This never happened though, instead I started getting calls to pay for my next month bill as it was an advance payment connection. I stated them that I am not using your internet anymore and I have even removed my router and had started using my Reliance netconnect dongle for internet use. Still, I was getting continuous calls to make payments and then only they will process the disconnection. This was unlawful, because I have registered my complaint way back before the payment was due and got assurance from them too. Now, they are telling me that I have to pay for the starting month October. Then I called the call center again and now they asked me to send a mail to them for the same. I did the same and send them a mail on 9/11/2012 stating that I want to discontinue their connection. I got an automatic reply from them too regarding the same. The mail said that the issue would be resolved in 72 hours. I waited for a week and I received no calls from Tikona and I considered that the issue has been taken care off. Later, after a month I shifted from that house to a PG in Hitec City and now after 2 months I again got a call that I have to pay an amount of Rs.2205 as due amount. Now, this was too much and I shouted at the person and told them that the connection was disconnected 2 months back then how can they ask me to pay for it for the next two months. There was no answer from them and they said that it’s showing in the system as uses. Now, this went above my head, how can this happen when I am not even staying in that place. SO, I decided to call customer care again and they said that there is no record of me sending a mail to them regarding the disconnection (I will attach the e-mail copies for proof).I told them clearly that I will not pay a single penny as I have a proof that I have send the request for disconnection. Today after another 2 months, on 8th January 2013, I again got a call from Tikona again stating that they are calling from the legal department as I have not paid my dues to them. This is a complete false allegation and I request the consumer forum to take action against this.
I want them not to bug me anymore with this payment issue, as I don’t owe them a single penny.
