Tikona – Poor Internet Services and Harassment

The complainant had subscribed for Tikona Internet Services from Tikona Digital Networks Pvt. Ltd. with customer ID- 1107668245 in January 2013. The complainant had faced troubled internet connection since the day of installation of Tikona device at his home. The Major Problem was that the Internet connection was getting dropped after every 10 minutes of usage. The complainant had raised several requests with Tikona Customer Care (the list of service request attached for reference) regarding the issue but the problem was not solved. There were technical visits by Tikona Engineers who could not solve the issue but gave vague resolutions like there is a technical glitch in the complainant’s locality and the issue would be resolved in a week or so. But the problem was not resolved at all. After following up for several months regarding the issue, the complainant finally decided to raise a request (Request Number-1-2829484225) for disconnection of his services in September 2013. After his request 1-2829484885 dated 27/09/13 for disconnection, he received around 4-5 telephone calls from tikona customer care. During all these tele-conversations (which are recorded in the IVRS system of tikona ), he was told that there has been a technical problem from back-end(tikona) and the problem would be resolved soon and the executives confirmed that the complainant need not pay any amount until the problem is resolved. One of the executive even confirmed that the request for disconnection has been accepted and the complainant has no dues left to pay to Tikona. However, the request for disconnection was closed without the complainant’s confirmation and bills were continued to be generated. The complainant again raised a request 1-2894690774 on 01/11/13 and 1-2909006080 on 11/11/13 to re-open his earliest request for disconnection which was closed down without his consent. After again following up on e-mails & phone calls, the complainant was assured again by Tikona executives that the technical problem would be resolved. The Tikona executives also accepted over phone that the mistake was from Tikona. However, the problem was not resolved and the complainant was asked to make the payment. During the whole one long year episode, there was huge inconvenience and harassment caused to the complainant due to poor services of Tikona and their executives. There were phone calls from the Tikona executives forcing the complainant to make payment. There were other fake calls from number 07727855449(date 16/01/14 time 12: 40 PM) where the caller identified himself as Sub inspector Vikram Singh Rathod from Delhi threatening the complainant to make the payment else arrest warrants would be released against him). All the conversations over e-mail have been attached for reference. Moreover all the tele-conversations can be traced. The complainant request Justice on his behalf and request the refund of all the previous payments including refundable installation

1.Rs 9700/- against the total amount paid to tikona including the refundable installation charges. 2. Rs 20000/- towards mental harassment charges including costs towards phone calls, travel and internet usage for following up with the customer
