Tridev Car Carriers – Delayed deliver and damage to car

I had booked my car (red skoda fabia number DL 12C 1629) for transportation from Delhi to Siliguri through Tridev Car Carriers, Gurgaon on 3 Apr 2014. The company representative issued a voucher (no. 660) of Fast Track Packers and Movers for the same. A sum of Rs 7000 was paid as advance to the representative at the time of handing over the car. Rs 3000 was to be given to the company representative on delivery of the car in Siliguri.I was verbally assured by the contact persons, Mr Ajay (Ph No. 9990208xxx) and Mr Gajender (Ph No.9718968xxx) that the vehicle will be delivered by 12 Apr 2014. Since the handing over of the car to Tridev Car Carrier by my brother, Mr Ajay Bhatia, I was in touch with Mr Gajender about the location and expected date of delivery. Mr Ajay’s number is now not in use. I have been repeatedly assured by Mr Gajender about the safety and assured delivery of my car. I was given numerous deadlines for delivery of my car which never materialised. Numerous reasons were also given for late delivery. Mr Gajender blamed the delay on the tightened security in view of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, and the irresponsible attitude of the vehicle driver. The location of the lorry (A Maruti lorry registered in Haryana with registration number 2081) repeatedly proved to be incorrect. I was given numerous phone numbers, claimed by Mr Gajender to be those of the lorry driver (09812705855, 07838158102). But unfortunately there is no response on the number, and the second number turned out to be that of the company representative, Mr Pramod. My brother, Ajay Bhatia, visited the company in Gurgaon on 3rd May 2014. He was given another number, which the office staff claimed was the number of the driver (08607918933). The person on this number assured my brother that the car was 250km away from Siliguri. Further calls to this number go unanswered. When I made the last call, it turned out that this mobile number belongs to somebody else. When there was no information about my car, I used my contacts to find out the location of the car. It finally turned out that the car left Gurgaon on 3rd May (The car was in the Gurgaon from 3 Apr to 3 May). It was finally delivered to the person assigned by me in Siliguri on 10 May 2014 after 5 weeks of despatching the car. My assigned person took the delivery and gave the remaining sum of Rs 3000 to the lorry driver. However, on inspection, the car was found to be damaged. The details are mentioned in next column.

1. Rs 1,00,000 for mental agony caused 2. Rs 50,000 for taxi expenses 3. Cost of repair of the car (details awaited)
