Why Airtel does False Promotional Offers ?

I am an Airtel Broadband wifi consumer since Sep 2013. • I was offered an upgrade in Broadband landline connection No. 011-40518xxx from existing speed to better speed of 4 MBPS in the month of August 2014. • As promotional offer I was told that for initial 2 months it is free i.e. from 25th August to 2th Sep and 25th Sep to 25th October and billing will start from 3rd month i.e. from October 25th to Nov 25th cycle. • However I have billed for all the months and my connection was disconnected on October 29th for non-payment of bills, • When I enquired, it was found out that though the account is upgraded but no promotional offer is there in my account. • When I protested vide through several mail communication, Airtel told they are not able to validate the same, that whether any such offer was given to me. • When the discussion on upgrade of account and promotional offer had taken place in 1 call only, then why only upgrade was effected in account and why not the promotional offer was given. • When Airtel has such policy of telemarketing and taking confirmation from customer on phone, the salesperson can’t act without concurrence of Airtel and therefore we can make out that this promotional offer was a false commitment from Airtel. • As we know, every call is recorded because there is no written communication taking place with customer, accordingly I asked to share the audio clipping of call in which the upgrade offer was communicated to me and I had given my consent and the promotional offer was given to me, however Airtel also refused to share the said clipping, which clearly shows that there is an intention issue. • The entire issue was discussed and mail communication was forwarded to Airtel local Appellate office, however nothing happened. They offered me a token credit of Rs.500/- which was not acceptable to me. • In view of above, I object and protest against billing for 2 months in my account, and request that amount equal to 2 month’s bill must be credited to my account immediately. Presently I have entire amount showing as outstanding in order to start my internet services so that I can officially lodge a complaint with CORE. However I do not intend to pay the bill for next 2 months. • I request CORE to take necessary action in this regard.

2 month billing amount to be immediately credited to my account as committed by Airtel earlier.
