XOLO Mobile Customer Service Cheating – A Review

I, Deepak Tyagi, purchased XOLO QC 800 tablet (IMEI NUMBER – 911325900049429) online. The tablet was delivered to me on 22 Jan 14. When some music/ games were played then we realised that the sound volume was just audible. We thought it might be because of the settings. In settings page, we increased the sound volume to maximum to check the output. But the sound output was still the same. After inspection of the device, we appreciated that it was due to the poor workmanship of the tablet’s body manufacturer. Out of two speakers’ outlets (the perforations) one was totally blocked and other partially. Being blocked in majority, the perforations were not allowing the sound to travel out, that’s what we thought. I Spoke to the customer care (1800-30-100-104) on 23 Jan 14 and told them about the problem and my appreciation.

As advised by the customer care operator, I also wrote a mail to care@xolo.in. I called up the customer care again on 25 Jan 14 as there was no response or any reply to my mail from XOLO. This time customer care advised me to visit the service center to have my Tablet checked by the specialists. I approached the service center only to find few more surprises. On my explaining the problem, they agreed to check the tablet. Luckily, there was one more similar tablet available with them. On opening the tablet, we both were surprised to see only one speaker in place of two as claimed and exhibited by the XOLO tablet and its guidebook. Other tablet was also opened and checked to find only one speaker, there too. This was the bigger surprise. The just poor workmanship appreciation of mine was replaced with a confirmed case of CHEAT from XOLO. Surprised, frustrated and angrily, I came back and called up the customer care for the fourth time. I explained the cheat and my concern to the customer care operator who could do nothing other than saying sorry. Upon insistence, he made me speak to some senior who assured the top priority to the issue. Realising the cheat on their part, they promised that the tablet will be replaced. A letter was issued to me by the local service center authorising the replacement. Also, the region manager Mr Hari was tasked to resolve my tablet issue and co-ordinate the replacement. However, for last 15 days, Mr Hari has only put me in spin quoting lame excuses.

The tablet is not replaced yet and for last two days he is not even taking my calls. When I spoke to customer care today, they told that I have to co-ordinate with Mr Hari. I again asked them to let me speak to some senior as Mr Hari was not even taking the calls. To my surprise, the so called senior, Mr Harinder spoke very rudely and conveyed that they cann’t do anything about the issue. Now, XOLO customer care is not responding positively, which they promised earlier. Mr Hari, the area manager is not taking the calls. At this juncture, I am really thinking to use all resources of internet including social sites and consumer court against the cheat XOLO doing on large scale to its customers, if the company does not take it in right spirit and take corrective action.
