This is a complaint against a shopkeeper in Durgapur, West Bengal (detailed address given below) who is charging excess amount on soft drinks. Rates given below. 200 ml – Rs. 12 (where the MRP is Rs.10) Can – Rs. 35 (where the MPR is Rs.30) He is practicing this for a long time and on asking about the excess rates he could not give any proper explanation. The shop is a registered one but there is no name or license number displayed. Therefore, I request you to kindly look into the matter and teach him a lesson. It is very much clear that how much economic damage it is causing to consumers by charging excess price than MRP. Take strict action against the shopkeeper. Give him a warning and still if he continues to practice the same, simply cancel his license.
