I have purchased a CASIO made watch from online shopping company FLIPKART vide invoice NO. # DEL20130400335662 Dated 24.04.13(Order ID: OD30423093560) with 2 year warranty. The watch stopped functioning and same given for repair at office of CASIO INDIA on 09.04.2014 vide repair slip No.-INC001-040140463661 along with invoice and user manual-cum-warranty card. The CASIO India asked for invoice, which was provided to them. However CASIO INDIA demanded some other type of warranty card, which was not provided to me by FLIPKART.CASIO INDIA advised me to arrange for warranty card from FLIPKART, however despite email/telephonic call, FLIPKART did not provide any warranty card and clarified that invoice issued by them is good enough for warranty. I have made several call/send email to CASIO INDIA and also to FLIPKART. However neither the warranty card as required by CASIO INDIA has been provided by FLIPKART, NOR CASIO India is ready to repair the watch under warranty and I am stuck between these TWO big companies. Needless to say that watch is lying with CASIO INDIA for repair.
I want the following. 1. The watch be serviced be CASIO INDIA under warranty. 2. CASIO INDIA and FLIPKART should jointly pay the compensation of Rs. 10000.00 toward mental suffering. 2. CASIO India be instructed to change its policy for considering the authenticated invoice as valid documents for warranty claim ( This is standard practice for many other similar consumer durable companies.)
