I had purchased the KENT PEARL model of water purifier from authorised dealer of company M/s ARVINDRA ELECTRONICS PVT LTD CHANDIGARH vide invoice no. HO/000969 dated 31.05.2012. at a cost of Rs. 15200/- The water purifier was installed at my residence at H.No> 60 Sector 33 A Chandigarh 160047 After a few months of functioning, we found some micro insects like small ants and small cockroaches floating in the water storage tank . Initially we cleaned the storage tank and refitted it. However, the periodicity of insects viz cockroaches and ants appearing in the water storage tank increased and also the number of small cockroaches also increased. Alarmed by the situation , we called the service centre at the no. 7307107080 given by the dealer. After some reminders, the service engineer came on 19.12.13 and opened the machine. It was found that many cockroaches had made their home in the back side of machine and had laid eggs also. Resultantly, the new born cockroaches fell into the storage times on many occasions through the open space available in the machine. The service engineer Sh Amarjeet however thoroughly cleaned the machine and many small and medium sized cockroaches were thrown out of the machine. On being enquired about the possibility of insects coming again, Sh Amarjeet told that the gap shall always remain open and the possibility of insects appearing in the storage tank cannot be ruled out in future. He however put in some cloves in the open spaces where cockroaches had made home and said that the cloves shall keep them away. Though not satisfied, we accepted the contention of service engineer. However a remark on the Field service report was made by me ” The problem of cockroaches and insects still persisting” The problem however persisted and the company ASM Sh Harpreet made a few visits on various occasions and tried to plug the gap by sealing the storage tank. Though the product was marketed by saying that the model has an advantage thatstorage tank can be easily opened by the user and cleaned as against some other models where the tank cannot be opened so easily. By sealing the tank, the facility of cleaning the tank had to be sacrificed by us but we compromised with the hope that the problem of insects in water storage tank should be resolved first. However since problem is persisting it shows that the Machine manufactured by company has a defective design and is very hazardous for the Health of the consumer. The company has also tried to make temporary arrangements but it has resulted in more health hazard for me and my family. In the above back drop, since now I have no faith in the company products, I want my money back so that I can purchase water purifier from other more reliable company.(Rs.16100/)+ amount @90/- per day * no of days till refund is made being cost of water arranged for my family from the market. I also request the company to respond at the earliest convenience because, we may not

I want my money back since the company has sold a defective product to me. I also want that the company should stop manufacturing the PEARL Model since it is a big health hazard to the consumer.I do not want that other consumers should go through the experience.
