In first week of June, 2013 when I and my wife were in Big Bazaar, Liluah, Howrah, West Bengal a boy came and asked us to fill up a form with name & mobile no and said that if we would get selected we would receive gift from Country Vacations, A Division of Country Club India Ltd having registered office at Amrutha Castle, # 5-9-16, Saifabad, Opp Secretariat Hyderabad 500 063 (hereinafter called the company). After couple of days I received a call stating that my number is the lucky owner and we need to go to Salt Lake, City Centre I to collect gifts. I thought to have a look. On 15.06.2013 myself and my wife went to the office of the company at D-211, 2nd Floor, City Centre Mall, Salt Lake, Kolkata 700 064. The person who attended us first was one Rajesh Shaw and later one Devendra Dubey. When we get in, we saw almost 10/12 families sitting and every family has been attended by country club’s representative. Surprisingly when we entered the room, a very loud music was on & whenever we asked to lower the volume they merely pretend but never did so. Suddenly Rajesh Shaw came and started asking me What is my income? Do I own any Car? Do I have any investment plan etc. He started explaining about their Country Vacations and Packages. Overall, it was more than 2hrs session with different level of people assisting each other. They had represented their packages in such a way that we were in dilemma whether to go for it or not. They came up with a package of Rs. 3.25 lakhs Billionaire Vacations Plan for 30 years. We told them that it was a big amount & we couldnot afford it. Then they started negotiating and offering package discounts and also assured us to provide lucrative gifts including a digital high pixel camera and 7 Nights Thailand Package (inclusive of Food & Accommodation and discounted airfares). When we told our inability to pay such big amount, they persuaded us to invest in their real estate projects at Hyderabad and Mumbai and get high return in future. Thereafter Devendra Dubey bought K.Sridhar introducing him to be the Manager of Country Vacations, Hyderabad and was in charge of their project at Hyderabad. They conjointly represented that if we would avail the membership today then they would provide us a plot admeasuring 1350 Sq Ft at Shail Bhumi, Hyderabad. When we told that we could not take any decision without consulting our family members, Devendra Dubey and K. Sridhar assured that the agreement would be only provisional and if our family members do not accede to avail such plot of land, then the agreement would stand cancelled and we would get our money back. Then they categorically represented us that the offer of availing membership and/or investment was valid only for the said date as we were the lucky draw owner and we could sign the same against minimum advance of Rs. 12,500/- and if in any case our guardians would not agree in future, then your company would cancel the agreement and refund our money.
