On 04/08/2012 I purchased an HTC Mobile model one v from Mobile Stores Limited, Guwahati at Rs. 18789.00. At the time of purchase itself the mobile had problem of not reading the SIM card. I had pointed out the defect and asked for another set.But the party had refused to give me a different set saying that as the seal of the pack was broken so they cannot take it back and the problem is only with your old SIM card. Once you replace the SIM, it would work- they told. I took the mobile, replaced the SIM card but it did not work. On 24/09/12 the handset was deposited to the HTC Service Centre at Ullubari, Guwahati. After 35 days, they had returned the set on 29/10/12. It worked for one day only. Again handed over on 5/11/12 to the servicing centre and lodged complaint to HTC through e.mil. They had assured me to rectify the set fully to my satisfaction. I received the set on 29th Dec’12 and it worked for few months but again started giving problem. On 17/08/13 it was again depoited for rectification but was returned after few days without doing any correction of the handset. I am very much harrassed with the defective product. I lodge this complaint and demand reasonable compensation for the harassment given to me by HTC Limited.
A brand new mobile of same price and a compensation of Rs. 20,000.00 for the irrepairable accademic loss, mental harrasment and physical suffering of my son.
