I had made a cancellation on the 2nd leg of a booking using the makemytrip iphone MOBILE application. But I never got any email confirmation of refund. I just got a pop up msg in the app which i have attached. When I go to my booking history it did not show as cancelled either. There has to be a refund for this. The makemytrip booking id for the cancellation made is NF7901335778186 (chennai – blr sector for passenger RK Chari was cancelled). I had made another booking for the same passenger (RK Chari) on an earlier flight from chennai to blr, after which I cancelled the earlier booking. So the passenger cannot have surely travelled twice from chennai to blr on the same day. Booking id for the second flight booked is NF7901535822158. There has to be a refund for the earlier booking cancellation. After several complaints and escalations to makemytrip.com, they always revert to say that no refund can be made because cancellation was not done as per their booking history. The issue is that their iphone MOBILE app does not register a cancellation under the booking history, nor does it send a email confirmation of a refund, unlike their website. We only receive a pop up message of the refund (I have attached the same). So because it is not in their booking history, the assumption on their side is no cancellation was made. Which is incorrect. Cancellation was definitely made, but because of their faulty MOBILE application it is becoming difficult to prove that the cancellation was actually made. The timestamp of the screen shot will prove that I made the cancellation right after booking the 2nd ticket
The whole issue is a matter of principal. I am a customer for makemytrip for the last 10 yrs and they think it makes sense for me to go on complaining for some refund for the heck of it! Some things are just wrong and corporates like these cannot be bullying customers. I am seeking refund for the cancellation made. Would really appreciate if this can be resolved.
