I’ve booked a train ticket on 16/05/2014 to travel from Howrah to Bhubaneswar in Satabdhi Express having train number-12277 bearing the PNR-6430196506 with wait list WL82/WL6. I queried at 00:45:18hrs on dt.17/05/2014 whether the ticket has been confirmed or not.The ticket was confirmed at that time. By seeing the confirmed ticket I started my journey alone from Durgapur,West Bengal in the morning of 17/05/2014 by Coalfield Express to reach at Howrah by the time of scheduled departure of Satabdhi Express. To my surprise when I double checked the PNR for a seat number at 13:39:30hrs on 17/05/2014 it was showing W/L4.Then I went to the booking office in Howrah station, but they were so reluctant to check any defect in system and also to help me. So I waited for reservation chart to come,but still there were no reservation in my name.By the rule one can not travel with a wait list e-ticket and a wait list e-ticket is refunded by IRCTC automatically. Then on dt19/05/2014 at 5:51p.m. I received a message of confirmed ticket,Chart Not Prepared with the same PNR number.
I want a full compensation of INR 50,00,000(Rupees Fifty Lakhs) for the physical and mental harassment and security threat occurred to me at Howrah Station from IRCTC and Indian Railways Passenger Reservation System. A written apology letter also.Since this is not the first time I’ve been harassed by the Indian Railways and IRCTC.
