I’ve booked to parcel my bike from Srikakualm Road to YeswanthpuR on 14th Jun, 2014. They informed that it may take about 1 week and once the bike reached Yeswanthpur, the authorities would call me at the mobile number written on the bike packing. But even after a week I did not get any call from them. I’ve tried enquiring it on-line but the facility available is not working properly. So I’ve sent my brother to Srikakualm Road station to enquire about the status. He spoke to somebody at Visakhapatnam and said that they sent it from there but he dont know what is the status and asked me to check at Visakhapatnam or Yeswanthpur. I verified at Visakhapatnam where they said they don’t know the status and asked me to check on the platfrom, if it is not there means that must have been sent. After this I tried calling Yeswanthpur station at the numbers available on-line but nobody is answering the calls. I went to Yeswanthpur railway station on 25th Jun 2014 where I was charged Rs.250/- as storage charges(fine) as the bike has arrived on 23rd June. I asked him its not my mistake as i was not informed of its arrival but he said if you want to collect your bike pay fine else dont pay. I paid the fine and collected my bike. If I was not informed how will i come to know about the arrival of the bike ? and as he was telling it is not feasible for me to go and see physically every day whether my bike has arrived as it would take a min of 2 hrs to go to yeswanthpur station. At least they could have picked the phone ans answered it. I’m not writing it for the money I paid as fee but they are not doing their duty for what they are being paid for.

The clerical staff should be given a warning to carry out their duty properly
