Gold Gym – Membership Cancelled No Refund

, Charanjeet Singh, became the member of Gold Gym (Somkamal Fitness Pvt. Ltd)- Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, on date 30th April 2009. Since, the gym was newly opened and not operational, I was informed by the staff/ management that the gym will open for its members from June 2009. But the gym did not start functioning fully in the given time. Hence it was postponed till July 2009. But, unfortunately, I got bed ridden due to Hepatitis, and could not join the gym as I was advised to avoid any strenuous exercises for some time. Later, after some time, I decided to start the gym, since, I did not go to the gym for a single day, neither I received any intimation regarding my membership. I tried contacting the staff/ management of the Gym many times but every time they gave me false assurances. In between the management had also changed twice. Recently, I contacted the current management of the gym to revive my membership, and requested them to look into the matter and do the needful. But after following up with them for many days they have refused to revive my membership after giving me false assurance and keeping me in dark. I am feeling harassed. I am enclosing the copy of the receipt which stated that, ‘Starting Date : when the gym will start or the first day of joining. Please note that I never had a first day in the said Gym.

I want them to revive my membership or refund the amount paid by me for the membership with interest for the period of 5 years. The amount paid by me was Rs.19200/-
