Why Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery Drains Without Usage ?

Dear Sir I have purchased new Handset – Galaxy S4 from your dealer – Shivalik Retail Pvt Ltd. in Nehru Place vide their invoice no – NP/14-15/1225 on dated 23/07/2014. Soon after using the handset I felt of battery problem. The battery started draining fast even if it was charged to 100% and against no usage. I kept on observing this for 4-5 days and then complained to the dealer. Despite innumerable visits made to the dealer & service centre I am still stuck up with the same problem & has not been resolved. Following is the history of my follow-ups / visits to your dealer & the service centre at Okhla. Dated 23/07/2014: Purchase of new Handset. Dated 28/07/2014: Complained of battery drainage problem to the dealer. Dealer asked me to use the same as sometimes it is witnessed in new batteries & after using it for 4-5 days, the problem will be solved. Dated 05/08/2014: Again revisited the dealer with the same existing problem. Dealer asked to charge the battery once it is completely drained and with the handset completely switched off. This will surely enhance the battery back-up. Dated 08/08/2014: Visited for the third time with the dealer & he asked to visit at the authorized service center. Dated 12/08/2014: Visited authorized service center in Okhla near Crown Plaza explained my problem to them. They asked me to deposit my handset for 2-3 days, which was not possible as I was moving out of town on the official tour. Dated 21/08/2014 & 06/09/2014: Again visited the dealer but to NO AVAIL. Dated 18/09/2014: Lodged an online complaint with Samsung. Dated 19/09/2014: Again visited the dealer & was replaced with a new battery. Dated 20/09/2014: After using the new battery, the same problem existed and was conveyed to the dealer. Dated 23/09/2014: Visited the service centre again with the same problem. Discussed with the executive but issue not resolved. Dated 25/09/2014: Lodged online complaint with SAMSUNG HELPDESK with Complaint id – 8466161xxx. I have been facing this trouble since last two months. Further to above, I am really surprised with such treatment from a company of repute. Now after approaching the dealer & the Service Centre many times, I am writing you with lots of hope to get justice. Invoice Copy , mail correspondence & Service Centre visiting slip attached

Replacement with the sealed New Handset with harassment charges as a penalty equivalent to handset price.
