I feel like I was cheated by Airtel and/or its rep. I paid Rs. 149 for starting internet on my mobile phone on 11/1/12 but my internet service never got activated. I tried contacting the agent (Parekh Electronics on M.G. Road Pune) and sent several messages to Airtel but never could get a straight answer. The agent blamed it on Airtel for not doing its job. Every time I called or sent messages to Airtel, it was something different. Several promises were made over the telephone but it was all a waste of time. Your staff appears to be seriously ill-trained. Today (8/2/12), the subscription is apparently expiring. It is not a matter of Rs. 149 ( I will consider that a donation to Airtel). It is simply a matter of not getting a service that you pay for.
I visit India frequently from overseas where I am used to great customer service and no cheating. If the kind of service I got from Airtel in India is what I should expect from Airtel in future, next time I will have to look elsewhere for mobile phone service.
