Airtel is harassing me since last month. I have a data limit on my phone number 9599216xxx as 270 MB which I never exceeds however on May 14th I received a text message saying that I have used 434MB of my data which is incorrect. Also, every month I receive messages letting me know if I am about to reach my data limit, every month at around 220MB but this time the 434MB Message was the first one I ever received. Without any issues I called the customer service department and spoke with Avinash and told him my issue. He said he will need to escalate it to IT Team and someone will call me in next 24 to 48 Hours. He gave me complaint number which is or rather was 49662. I confirmed this with him for about 4 to 5 times on the call and the call was ended. I waited for 96 Hours and called back and what caught me by surprise was something that the guy or a girl over the phone said “What complaint Sir? There is no complaint. That was a simple call of data inquiry and Avinash did give you the information and that is it”. That is when I found that the complaint number was bogas. I requested to speak with a Manager and while talking to him the call got disconnected, I called back about 5 to 7 times and no body transferred my call back to the same Team Manager and harassed me like hell by asking me to explain the issue from the start every time I called. They said if I don’t tell the complete issue they will not even attempt to transfer the call and when I told them the issue they started saying that you can’t talk to the manager because you do not know his name. I called about 10 times and then I had to quit.

I want these people to know that Consumers are not Idiots and I want all these damages to be paid in full plus the penalty what ever the government decides. These people think that they can harass the Consumers as nothing is going to happen to them but please make sure that you make this complaint so costly for them so that the next time they think of harassing a consumer they think twice. Make it so costly for them that instead of investing in the lawyers they spend money on making their products more reliable and better.
