Sir/ Madam Ref: customer ID 3001174197, Registered Mobile Number 986846xxxx I request you to kindly consider the following points and assist in resolution of the inconvenience caused to me: 1. I was considering myself a valued customer of Airtel and have maintained DTH since long. As I am into government service, I get transferred quite often across India. Initially DTH was installed at Lajpat Nagar , New Delhi and thereafter at Una in Himachal Pradesh. As a result of posting in the North East (Sikkim, Gangtok) the services remained unutilized. 2. I had requested for re installation of DTH on 16.05.2015 and the same was scheduled on 17.05.2015. I had also requested the Helpline i.e. 0124-444xxxx to add a note to the service engineer to bring spare Set Top Box as I expected some issues. On 17.05.2015 installation was done, but the engineer declared that he had not brought STB with him. He demanded installation charges even without actually placing DTH in functionality. He had justified his demand only by installing Dish Antenna. Once I refused to pay the charge , he said that STV will be arranged by the next day. However he was helpful to arrange spare STB by evening on 17.05.2015. He had promised that second hand STB will have warranty of six months. 3. The installed Dish Antenna fell off on 19.05.2015. It was a very bad experience for me about poor service quality and pathetic workmanship of Airtel. Aggrieved, I approached DTH Helpline i.e. 0124-4448080. The helpdesk, instead of helping me offered to provide telephone number of service engineer. I was amazed to know that while giving money to Airtel, it was perfectly okay to contact Helpdesk, whereas in the event of addressing poor quality of service the help desk was of no help to me. To augment my worry , the executives did not even cared to listen to my issues, and again demanded frivolous charges. They hang up the phone. I had approached helpdesk four times and talked to Surya, Poonam, Saurabh around evening on 19.05.2015. I did realised that they were of little help to me, and hence requested them to connect to their higher official. They put me on hold for long and thereafter disconnected the line. I do value my long relationship with Airtel and do not expect such immature behaviour from the company. 4. The Dish Antenna had fell off from eighth floor and is broken. There are several other DTH Antenna in the society at floors even higher. There is no point blaming acts of God viz storm etc for the accident. I was lucky that there were no human causality involved in the accident. The storm etc had affected other antenna too and my installed antenna , that was just installed just a day before had fell off due to poor fixtures. 5. I request the company to accept accountability for poor quality of service and get installed my DTH ( including free Dish and Installation Charges) at no costs to me.
