Airtel – False billing, imposing data plan without any notice

Started using airtel connection almost a year back (number 9004555450) with the data plan of 300MB per month for 99 rs. The number is registered in the name of my brother. After a 7-8 months the Airtel guys automatically without taking my consent changed my data plan to 1GB per month for 650 rs. when I tried to raise a complaint regarding this, the complaint went unnoticed.I called up the airtel customer care 3-4 times but every time i called they would ask me to raise a fresh complaint as there was no record of my previous complaints in their record! the process became torturous with time. They didn’t hear my request of changing the data plan back to the initial one. After that I didn’t pay the bill because i was assured that my request will be heard and my bill will be adjusted against the wrong data plan that was incorporated in my bill. but it all went in vain. Also, they started threatening me that if I don’t pay the bill they will file a police complaint against me. After all this torture i stopped using the airtel connection. and after sometime on my alternate number the airtel guys called and said that my bill issue is resolved and I now have to pay 1500 rs. to settle thee bill completely. An Airtel guy had come to my house and i gave him 1500 rs. as full and final payment, I have the receipt of the payment made. My brother (whose number is given to airtel as alternate number) is still getting threatening calls from airtel!!

We don’t want any economic benefit but we want this torture to end! The disputed amount according to airtel is 1400. The question is not about paying 1400 rs. It is about what is right and who is right!
