I am a user of Airtel services from past 6 years. My mobile no: 9892455146. My name: Avadesh Gupta.

Though the call rates were high in comparision to almost all other service providers I never bothered to change from Airtel as I m less used to changes and reluctant to it.

But today Airtel has opened my eyes and has forced me to change from Airtel and look for an other options. Day before yesterday, first time on my cell phone i tried to use GPRS service by opening Ganpati Bappa’s link provided by your own airtel media. To my surprise, the moment the site was connected the very next second i am receiving a message. To check what is the message i came out of GPRS and was shocked to see that Airtel has deducted my 99 RS for hardly 5 seconds of GPRS usage. Whereas, DOCOMO, BPL and many others provide free 2 GB GPRS usage. After calling Customer service i was assured that within 4 hours i will be refunded Rs.99. But till now nothing has been credited.

Yesterday again to my curiousity, wanted to check on if the situation is same. After connecting to GPRS within a second again i received a message that i have downloaded a game and Rs. 7 is deducted. I am yet to see what the webpage is all about, how can i download a game???

Today after deactivating the GPRS service on my cell phone, i m getting a massage that Rs. 50 is deducted as i have downloaded a game ” Phineas and Ferb”. How can i download a game without accessing GPRS on my cell phone.

I think its high time Airtel has started making money this way , thats the reason it can hire Shahrukh Khan for their Ads. At this stage instead of being a proud user of Airtel service, I feel pity and at the same time deserted by airtel.

If I do not get any resolution within 2 days i will be forced to change my service. I advise all airtel users to be aware and be alert of such kind of loot through Airtel. We have many other options in market who provide far better service.
