I would like to register a consumer complaint against Airtel Mobiles, as they have sent me a bill of Rs2939.89 dated 24 Dec 2012 for my phone 9717923000. The break up of it says Rs1900/- is for data charges used on the mobile. My wife who is the user of this mobile has called Airtel Customer Service through 121 atleast 11 times since the time we have received the bill asking for proof of the data usage. Every time Airtel customer care has promised a call back and never called till this moment. She has asked to be connected to a supervisor or a manager and has never been connected, stating they are all very busy. She got a service request raised with the number 47864930 on 28 Dec 2012 and requested for proof of data usuage. She was promised she will get a call from Airtel and will be resolved by 31 Dec 2012. Yet again no calls were received and nothing solved. On calling 121 again today, she was again told she will get a call back. We have tried calling Airtel to solve the discrepancy 11 times. However Airtel does not value its customer or their time. I would like to file a complaint and get this addressed.
Airtel has to rectify the bill as soon as possible and also pay damages for not valuing the time and patience of the consumer.
