Hi,
I bought an AIRTEL SIM(7760509763) on 18-MAY-2010. I did not get any verification call regarding this. But on 24-MAY-2010,I received a message saying documents were not received and if documents were not submitted within 48 hours, sim will be inactivated. Then, I have called up customer care and there was no proper response on this. However when I called them next time, they told to resubmit the documents. So, I have Submitted the documents again at the dealer where I have taken SIM (BEML Layout, Kundanahalli, Bangalore). In spite of this, after 2 days SIM got inactivated. I have around Rs.250 in it by the time it was inactivated.
So, I approached customer care regarding this, after listening the complete issue, they said SIM number got even recycled(within 4 days) and even the amount will not get reverted back. Hence, I have approached customer Care (Number 198 to lodge a complaint) and I spoke to Geeta on 31-MAY-2010. She redirected the call to her Supervisor Sowmya. Sowmya inturn asked us to contact Nodal Officer Meenakshi as she cannot help on this as number has been recycled.
Then we called up nodal officer number 9972534865 on the following day as it was already late (crossed 17:00hrs) and nodal officer will be available from 9:00 to 17:00. When we called nodal officer on next day, we were asked to approach 9972544865 -> Shukanth , Appellate Tribunal Officer as she cannot help on this as number got recycled by that time.
Then the following day,we spoke to Appellate Tribunal Officer ,Shivakanth on 9972544865 number and initially we were told to submit 1 photograph[ph along with ID proof and Rs.49 for activation at relationship Center and he also told that number will be activated and amount will be credited in 2 days. Apart from this he asked us to reach him on the above mentioned number when I reach Relationship Center. Latter within 10minutes, we got a call back to our number that, saying that he re-checked the records and he will issue the same number, but not the amount in it. He claimed that it was ‘Negative Confirmation Call’ and that was the reason it was disconnected.
But there was no confirmation call, SMS, Email from Airtel People. This was the response I got after calling every level of Customer care people and Explaining the complete story of the Issue. There was no mobile number for almost a week and I went into such a mental agony because of all these. On top of it ,the response from Airtel is pathetic.
So I request you to consider my Issue on priority basis and provide me Justice in getting the Number and amount in it along with the compensation of Rs.10000/- for all the mental agony I faced.
