Airtel – Wifi stopped Working, Service Refused

I had an extremely disappointing incidence with Airtel Customer support for a complaint of my landline and broadband number 0522-4016xxx. In December 2014, there was an issue of frequent signal drop in my connection for which Airtel executive visited and tried to correct the problem. But, immediately following the job, the VOD connection of “Tata Sky”, which runs on Wifi, stopped working (although the net was working). I made frequent complaints initially with Tata Sky and after several visits, they couldn’t find any fault at their end and so concluded that the fault is at the Airtel end. I spoke to Airtel customer service (18001030121) a couple of times explaining them the problem but they refused to acknowledge it as their problem, also refusing to arrange any visit by a technical person. As this was a dead end for me, I subscribed to another broadband service and as expected, the VOD of Tata Sky started functioning immediately with the new service, proving that the fault was indeed at the Airtel end. I must say that Airtel customer service is lousy, inconsiderate and inefficient. Airtel must apologize for wasting my time as well as that of the Tata Sky people who were kind enough to send their personnel to my house at least 5 times in a month for no fault of theirs.

Apology from Airtel for being inconsiderate, inefficient and incompetent and for wasting my time and money on buying a new subscription.
