I have given an email complaint and request for cancellation of my American Express credit card on 28th Jan 2014. The same was processed by the bank in their written communication to me dated 3rd March 2014. Inspite of the above, American Express still continues to bill me for the same cancelled card and keeps telephoning me and my family members threatening action for recovery of this non existent dues.
As a result of these frequent reminders my old parents are living in constant fear. I am also not able to concentrate on my business in-spite of telling them that this account is already settled and that their letter dated 3rd March 2014 is the proof of the same.
I demand a monetary compensation as deemed fit by the respected court and a penalty of Rs. 10,000/- on the company for harassment and mental torture.
