I had hired Associated Cargomover of India, Kolkata to Shift my household articles and my car from Bandel,district Hooghly, W.B. to New Delhi. The response was prompt, the packers came to my house on the desired date. They packed all my articles and loaded them into the truck on 04.05.2014.My car was also taken by them on the same date. The delivery time was told to be 4-5 days. I had asked them to deliver the car immediately and other articles after a week.The total payment they asked for was Rs.30680/-( including transit insurance of Rs.1500/-) was household goods and Rs.8840/- for car. This as I was promised included Labour for Loading and unloading plus Service Tax plus Door Delivery for goods and Car as well. I paid Rs.10000/- in cash and paid a Post dated cheque for Rs.29520/-( to be deposited after delivery). After that the harassment started. As I had already deposited my articles and Car with them, I moved to Delhi. As I was given 4-5 days time I did not call the concerned person. After a week I found out that they have already deposited my cheque and have transferred funds to their A/c. I called them to enquire about the status of my items, I was told that they are lying in their godown. I immediately asked them to deliver my car as I was facing difficulty commuting. They told me that this will be done within 4 days on tuesday 20.05.2014.. After 04 days when I called the concerned person, I was told that due to some RTO problems my car was not loaded, it will be done today and the car will be delivered on friday 23.05.2014.I argued with them since i had to go out of town and there would be no person to take delivery of the car but they paid no heed. The packers instead stopped answering my calls. I became very considered about the condition of my car and other assets after facing such behaviour. When I asked them about the whereabouts of my car and told them that I could intimate the matter to Consumer Court, I was told that I did not know the kind of people I was dealing with and would face dire consequences. Well as I had a very urgent business to attend to I went out of Delhi on 23.05.2014. for six days. During this period I received a call on 26.05.2014 from a person telling me that the car is parked at a godown at Manesar, Haryana and I would have to collect it from there. I called up the packer and asked him to deliver it to my house as per our contract but he asked me ta pay Rs.500/- more for the same. Any way I hired a taxi and paid Rs.1200/- to it to get me to Manesar but when I went to the Godown I could not believe the condition that my car was in. My car had been driven 253 Kms from the time of handing over, its whole bumper had been damaged and the whole body had scratches all over. Upon contacting the Packer refused to take any responsibility for this and told me to take any action in my capacity.My other Household articles that were delivered were also delivered in my absence and I had to ask my friends to be pre
