Automotives India – Complaint for non-issuance of Tax Invoice for used car purchase

We would like to bring to your notice that a used car (Tata Safari) was purchased from Automotives India (franchisee of Mahindra FirstChoice) having their office at 111/9, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, Kishangarh, Vasant Kunj, Delhi 110070, on 9th June 2013 in the name of Esperto Consultants Private Limited, a registered Private Limited company owned by my family. The total amount including taxes was finalized as Rs. 5,45,000.On making the complete payment as advance through cheques valued Rs. 1,00,000 & Rs. 4,45,000 the car was delivered to us on 9th June 2013. We were told that Invoice would be provided in coming week, 9th June 2013 being a Sunday. On checking in next week, the Invoice was sent to us, however, the same was not a Tax Invoice. When we requested the franchisee to provide us a Tax Invoice, we were initially told that their CA can issue such invoices & asked to followup in next week. The representative from Automotives India, Mr. Shyam (9310098314) was contacted on 10th July 2013 for the Tax Invoice and we were told that they cannot provide Tax Invoice. On enquiring further, they said that there is no tax charged on a second hand vehicle & thus a Tax Invoice cannot be provided. Sir, this is certainly unethical on the part of Automotives India not to provide a Tax Invoice.

We request for Tax Invoice (in Original) from the dealer mentioning the percentage of tax deducted, their TIN Number and amount of tax.
