I purchased a Bajaj DC 2016 cooler on 23-05-2013 with Sr. NO 10194, from Khattar Electronics, Mehrauli cash memo no.1346 and there have been issues in the cooler since the day I purchased it .Following is the list of Problems observed 1. Cooler’s swing functionality wasn’t working from day one.(manufacturing defect) 2. Wheels were not getting fixed, and no movement/rotation of cooler was possible.(manufacturing defect) 3. There was water spilling along the cooler’s surface. 4. Pump was replaced 4 times.(sometimes even with old pumps) 5. The pads of the Cooler were not getting sufficient water feed to provide cooling effect.(persistent problem) 6. The die that splits the water from pump wasn’t proper, it had to be cleaned up for flow but subsequently the flow was gain restricted.(manufacturing defect) 7. There was a short-circuit in pump’s connection as it was not done through switch directly rather by a cut in the connection wire, that lead to heating and pump ceasing.(repairing fault) 8. There is no reliability on the product, in future this may not function properly since it has given so many problems all these days.(non-reliable product) 9. Initially there was crackling sound in the cooler and on 26-07-2013 “cooler Fan Not working at all” due to moisture being absorbed by the condenser of fan leading to short-circuit and burning of rubber pading in the condenser casing.(manufacturing defect) and water motor was not working too. 10. Resolved issues of condenser failure and pump failure on 27-07-2013 to their satisfaction and dropped a wrong mail to me. 11. Currently there is water spilling along body of cooler, this can again lead to moisture being absorbed by condenser and turning the cooler to faulty state again. 12. The customer service manager , complaints back that customer hasn’t followed procedure of call logging then on what ground Bajaj supported this. 13. Still the backside wheels are more pressed/tilted downwards than rest of four wheels (another manufacturing defect) There have been service requests filed, but the problem is not permanently solved so I need a replacement.
I would like to have the reimbursement of my total money( Rs. 8900 + 100 transportation charges) paid to shopkeeper since this product is non-reliable. Even if they give me a replacement, how can I be sure that brand new cooler won’t malfunction so frequently. And above all this for the mental pressure, dishonor,office work disruption and tension to me during this trauma of cooler purchase and repair, I would need Rs. 5000 as redressal.
