Below are the deficiencies in the Bangalore One services which I faced while trying to pay the BBMP property tax at the Bangalore One HBR layout Centre between April 17th and April 24th 2010 1. All bangalore one services are supposed to be available 24*7. However, they have set their own unwritten rules that BBMP tax payment and many such services while be delivered only during day time. The staff were not even ready to contact their manager to discuss this issue. 2. When I went the next day morning, I was told that this particular service has not yet started as they are yet to receive communication from BBMP. Why was this not told during the previous day itself. I was made to make unnecessary visit to Bangalore One 3. The director of Bangalore one did not respond to my queries even after multiple attempts and followups. 4.The BBMP helpdesk promised that they will inform me once they start this service. But they informed me only after my followup. 5.During my next visit, they demanded an application form for paying the tax. The Bangalore One website clearly mentions that the previous property paid receipt alone is sufficient for paying tax. And also, they did not have the stock of the form as well. The Centre manager did not respond to my queries. The staff were not at all trained to do this transaction and were unable to make use of the PID number to trace the property in the system. The staff at each counter have their own perspective of the tax payment procedure and many a times the same staff contradict their own previous statements. The Centre manager is hardly concerned about this. 6.The Bangalore One helpdesk confirmed me that PID number alone is sufficient to pay the property tax. But the scene at the centre was completely different and there were humpty number of procedures, forms required to be followed. For e.g, they demanded the citizens to submit a copy of the Bangalore One receipt, which is no where mentioned in BMP guidelines. And also, they did not inform me of all these requirements at one go, after satisfying each one, they were adding the next.
Apology letter from the individual and publishing the same in newspapers so that no more citizens are affected like me.
