Bharti Axa – Car Insurance Policy delay and poor service

I, on behalf of my wife, had purchased a car insurance policy from Bharti Axa and the policy was in the name of financer as the car was under lease during that period of time. It was being told to me that once the lease is over, I can change the name in the insurance and endorse it in my wife’s name by sending the updated RC copy. When I contacted them over email on 11th. Dec,2013, they asked me to send the new RC copy for this change to happen. They told that it will be done within 7days, but nothing happened even after sending multiple reminders. On 17th. Jan, 2014, when I called them again they said that they will reply in 1-2days. They replied me back on 17th. over email stating that I have to go to their local office and follow certain proceedings to change the name whereas they earlier said that it will be done online and that’s why they took the new RC copy. I wasted my time, energy behind this. My car came across through a small accident and I am unable to claim the insurance as it is still in the name of the finance. This is absolutely a breach of trust from Bharti’s side.

Want help in changing the name in car insurance policy so that I can go ahead and make my legitimate claim.
