The latest incident is regarding my purchases at your outlet at Sector 18 today i.e. 27th of January 2014. Purchases to the tune of Rs 8481/- vide retail invoice number 0037288, tr number 62943 were made and the goods were taken and I had almost left your outlet. While walking towards my car I was just glancing through the bill it came as a utter surprise that I had not been offered Discount on three of the items that had been purchased and were eligible for the discount. 3 Packs of Huggies Wonder Pants Large 38 Pieces were purchased from your outlet having a MRP of Rs 499 Each and having a discount of Rs 75 mentioned clearly on the packaging. (Snap of the same is attached in the trail mail for your ready reference) However despite this I was billed for the full amount of Rs 1497, Rs 225 clearly pocketed at your stores end even without checking the same. I returned back to the store and enquired the cashier from where the billing was done but he simply directed me to the customer service desk for clarification. The issue was raised at the desk on the same, where I was asked to wait till the time the same is being checked – Please be informed that my wife and my 15 months old daughter were waiting outside the store for the last 15 minutes as your store even does not have basic amenities like seating arrangement and drinking water for the customers. Finally someone arrived from the concerned department stating the discount was indeed there and there has been error on the same as there was too much of rush on the weekend ending 26th Januray and I should take the refund and proceed – Sir galti ho gaya to kya kare, please take the refund, isse jyada kuch nahi kar sakte hum. I was infuriated at the casual approach and reply given by your so called responsible staff on this complaint of mine and requested him to make me meet the Showroom Manager. Mr Manish Sharma was introduced as the ASM representing your group but to my surprise the reply was somewhat similar and I was offered to take the cash towards the discount. I had simply requested that the person responsible for the fault should at least be warned so that these kind of faults are not repeated in future and ignorant customers should not end up paying more for the stuff which should be billed at the reduced price. This is not the first time this has happened with me but a similar incident had happened almost 6 months back which was hushed up by the staff at your outlet and I also didn’t bother to take that forward.
– Is this called Customer Relationship Management? Big Bazaar should come up with new definition of Customer Relations. – Are the Customers taken for granted the same way I was taken for? – Is the time of other persons not valuable enough? – Is this being done mistakenly or intentionally? I doubt this seriously. – Is anyone at your end checking for the protection of Customer’s Interest? Today I have been penalized for making this mistake. I have been harassed enough and started thinking on the lines that your organisation may have taken me for granted but never the less I would not take this and will be forced to take necessary steps including legal remedies, sustained campaign against Big Bazaar on social sites and approaching media for seeking my rights as a customer.
