Bikanervala Sweets – Non-delivery of Items on Time

This is a complaint against Bikanervala Sweets. I ordered a 0.75 kg Kaju Barfi pack and a Rakhi on 7th August 2014 on the online service (http://www.bikanervalaonline.com/) of the company (Bikanervala Sweets) for delivery to my brother, who lives in Pune, as a Rakhi gift. I live in New Delhi. 1. It has been more than 7 days now from the date I had given my order (7th August 2014) on and the order has not yet been delivered. 2. Please note that the order is of an edible item, which even if delivered now, after much delay, would remain of no use to a consumer. Besides, as it was supposed to be a Rakhi gift, the delay which is much beyond a bearable limit has caused immense emotional, and intangible discomfort to us. 3.Despite the fact that Bikanervala stores are spread out in the entire country, the poor service and management started out my order of a perishable and edible item only from Delhi all the way to Pune, obviously leading to a retarded transfer. 3. Also, this order, as I found on tracking my order, was worked on 9th August only ie 2 days late. 4. To get my grievance addressed, I called on the only helpline number (011-47006732) given on the site http://www.bikanervalaonline.com/ but to no avail. There has been no answer on the line. Details: Order= Kaju Burfi Amount= Rs. 620 Status= Amount paid, but service not yet delivered. PLEASE NOTE. The form didnt give an option to file complaint against BIKANERVALA. So, it has been addressed against BLUEDART, which is the delivering agent in this case.

Besides, as it was supposed to be a Rakhi gift, the delay which is much beyond a bearable limit has caused immense emotional, and intangible discomfort to us. Since Bikanervala Sweets as a company is in a contract with a consumer, non-fulfilment of duty on time as required gives rise to a BREACH OF DUTY. We had to go for other urgent means for carrying out our customary Rakhi ceebrations. Economic damage, as the amount has already been paid and still there is non-delivery of the ordered food item. Even if it is delivered now, it shall be of no fit use for consumption. The sanctity of the item, to be delivered as a Rakhi gift, now stands eroded.
