As a family get together 10 of us had booked for buffet dinner at Burgandy’s on 20th September 2014. This booking was done by brother by name R.Kumar. While settling the bill we were not given proper invoice showing VAT / TIN number for the buffet spread. Upon asking the staff we were told that for group booking they dont give such bills. On my repeated insistence they pretended to fiddle around the computer but didn’t issue a proper bill.
While I didn’t suffer any physical or economical loss personally, I trust not issuing a proper bill gives room for suspicion regarding tax compliance by the concerned restaurant. Hence this complaint.
I want strict action against the said restaurant for not issuing a proper invoice.
