While traveling on the morning of 2/9/2014 from Agra to Noida in the 7am Volvo (ISBT Agra-Delhi Sarai Kale Khan via Yamuna Expressway), I was issued a ticket till Delhi for a fare of Rs. 537 for which I paid Rs. 550 to the conductor and he mentioned a change due of Rs. 13 at the back of the ticket. I enquired about the bus registration number which he reluctantly told me and I mentioned it in my ticket using a blue colored pen(UP32-CZ-3247). After sometime he asked me for the ticket to return the balance amount on my ticket(Rs. 13) and thereafter did not hand over me my original ticket. Instead of that,the conductor,Mr. Awadhesh Yadav handed me over another used ticket which even had the words – NOT TRANSFERRABLE printed on it. When I asked for my original ticket, he refused to give that to me and started arguing with me, warning me that I ought to quietly accept the used ticket. The actual ticket contained the fare break in it which was:- Agra – Pari Chowk (Greater Noida)– Rs. 387 and till Sarai Kale Khan – Rs. 537, while the other ticket did not have this info. I insisted that I wish to get my actual ticket back and he should give me the ticket for which I had initially paid for, but neither the conductor, nor the driver bothered to heed to my plea. The conductor misbehaved with me and upon multiple requests by me and my fellow travelers, he still did not give me back my original ticket till the end of the journey. This has caused me severe mental trauma as he humiliated me in front of other passengers and forced me to accept the counterfeit ticket. When I repeatedly asked him the reason for not giving me the ticket first issued to me, he did not give any valid excuse and threatened me to just keep mum and accept take the forged ticket. I even said I will complaint to the respective authority – UP Transport in this case, but still he didn’t feel any concern towards it. Being a responsible citizen of the country, I feel this is sheer inequity on part of the conductor and such a behavior should not be tolerated. It is requested to please have the issue investigated and proper action be taken against the conductor for his misconduct causing trouble to me and my co-passengers.
I want some strict action be taken against the Conductor for his misconduct. Additionally, if applicable, the extra fare(Rs. 150) that I was made to pay till Delhi, while I only traveled up to Noida be re-imbursed to me.
