Hi, I have taken TATA AIG’s Home Insta Choice on 27-08-2009 via a promotion phone call from TATA Aig’s cust care. I made a payment of Rs8803.00 through credit card on the same day. I was promised a lot of services in this policy by the cust care rep. named Piyush Mishra, were as when I received the actual policy papers, nothing as promised was covered in this policy. My policy no. is 1900066892. On 3rd Sep 2009 I called up TATA Aig cust care to cancel this policy and they asked me to send a mail to their cust dept for the same. Which I did and from that day am doing a follow up but all is in vain. When ever I call cust care they say the cancellation department will give a call back and till date no one has called. After repeatedly sending mail to TATA Aig, on Sep 19 2009 I received a mail confirming that policy is cancelled. However till date I haven’t received my refund cheque. As per TATA AIG’s policy if we have cancelled the policy within 10days, we would be reciving a 90% refund, However after waiting for so many days, today 26-Sep-2009 I gave a call to their cust care and I got to know that they are refunding 85% only and they state that as per their record the cancellation request was placed on 17-Sep-2009. I have all the mails which I send to TATA Aig for cancellation which proves that I made a cancellation request on 3-Sep-2009. Kindly look into this matter. Iam fedup of doing this follow up with this insurance company. The service given by them is pathetic.
