Dear Sir, My name is J. Bahmitha Barvin and I am having savings account in city union Bank (paramakudi Branch) . My account number is 164001000958426. I am not having cheque book. On 16.8.2013 Rs.118 was deducted from my account, even though I have maintained sufficient minimum balance. 1) I have approached bank for clarification and they doesn’t give satisfactory reply for this. 2) I have raised this query with the bank by e-mail (netbanking@cityunionbank.com) on 03.10.2013. But till now I haven’t got reply. 3) This issue was escalated to Mr. R. Krishnan – Principal Officer for Complaints and Redressal : through e-mail(krishnan@cityunionbank.in). He clarified on 13.11.13, that since I am availing VISA card facility, the minimum balance required to be maintained per quarter is Rs.3000/-.But from Bank I got reply that , the minimum balance required to be maintained per quarter is Rs.1000/-. Again on 13.11.13, I have raised query to him asking clarification on this ambiguity with both statement. But till date I didn’t get reply even after I sent remainder mail.
1) Refund of the amount with interest. 2)As Principal Officer for Complaints and Redressal, Mr. R. Krishnan fails to give final written response to customer ( even after my reminder mail stating this clause) as per RBI Circular (RBI/2007-08/309-DBOD. No. Leg BC.81/09.07.005/2007-08) if customer is not satisfied with the reply. This should be highlighted to the bank management
