Sir/Madam, I have submitted two laptops – of make Sony and Acer to Combine I Care, Kolkata on 17th Sept, 2013 for servicing. The acer laptop’s keyboard repaired and the Sony laptop’s motherboard was also repaired and given back on 22th Sep. They charged Rs. 9500(Acer – Rs. 3000 and Sony – RS. 6500)for servicing of both the laptops. Both had 90 days of warranty but within next 4 days the same problem occurred in both the laptops. We have to give the laptop again to the service center on 30th Sep for repairing. After following up with them again and again, we got our Acer laptop back on after paying additional charges Rs. 1500. But the Sony laptop was still not repaired even after 90 days after first servicing. Finally on 10th Dec, the receptionist told that the laptop cannot be repaired as motherboard is beyond repair. So we had requested them to give back money taken for the repairing motherboard of Sony laptop but they didn’t pay any heed to us. They kept on the saying that the motherboard is in workshop and will be returned soon. Till now the center hasn’t decided to return the money nor the Sony laptop. Right now we can’t use the laptop as it beyond repair and the money is also wasted. The lax attitude of the service center is pathetic, please help. I want our entire money Rs. 6500 which I paid for servicing of my Sony laptop and the time & effort wasted for the servicing. And most importantly the lax and careless attitude towards consumer has to be corrected.
