Dear Sir,
With due honor I want to submit few lines for yr. kind perusal and necessary action pl.
1. My First complaint is against HDFC STANDARD life Insurance for not providing FREE PRE LOOK period of 30 days provided by IRDA to each customer to re think about Policy .
Sir , after filling the proposal form when nearly 7 months passed I could not get any Policy documents ,then I. approached HDFC std life grievance through “response@hdfclife” And vide my letter 19th July 12. (complaint no. 184790 ) They said that the policy was sent to in Feb12 ,in support they sent scanned copy of the receipt slip of one courier service “SRI Chakra tech“ with false sign of mine and The portion of Addressee column was painted BLACK ( to hide the mistake of wrong Address ). I explained that in Proposal form I have given my father’s address who is proposer and installment payer ,(on behalf of me) then how can I receive and sign at that address ,when I live with my in-laws at separate address at far distance place from my fathers address .In addition I gave them other proofs also of not getting the policy .HDFC std life also verified my statement by sending one representative at my father’s address .After so many correspondence and telephonic conversations with customer service department and satisfied from all corners .HDFC std life agreed to sent the policy , vide their Regret letter for inconvenience DT.Aust 21 2012 from customer services Department. And sent Policy bond . My father received the policy bond on 2nd Sept’12 through Blue Dart courier vide AWB # 46137334633. PL. note that it is first time I received the original policy bond.
After going through , I found a altogether different policy what was explained to me, I approached to local branch of HDFC std life at Kanpur on 5th Sept for cancellation of policy in pre look period. But I was refused to entertain on the plea that as per our computer record The policy was dispatched to you in Feb.12. I told them that this the fist time I got the original policy on 2nd Sept. Then why I should not re-think in pre look period provided by IRDA. My pre look period was from 2nd Sept 12. Prior to that when I did not receive any document ,then how can I go through the policy documents and apply to pre-look without policy bond papers,
I am failed to understand the reluctant and adamant stand of hdfc std. life ins and ,not to listen my part what so ever Justified it may be. When once they were satisfied with the arguments of mine for not getting the policy in Feb12 and sent the policy with regret in the end of oct.12 then why the same reply is given by them repeatedly and did not updated their record . Is it my mistake ,then why should I suffer for the fault of others The stand of hdfc std life ins Is so that I may not get pre look period and harassing me and treating me as if I have done some crime for asking pre-look.
HDFC std. life ins stand shows that there is a RACKET consisting of Some of the HDFC std life employees , franchises Agents and Courier services operating with in HDFC life ins to trap the people applying nos. of tricks to get commission on policy. One trick is to create such situation ,so that individual insured should not avail the pre look period Provided by law. I am in doubt that such tact is being applied on me.
2. Complaint Against broker
In Nov.2011 my father received a phone call from Mr. Amit Coudhry Mob # 07503882669 , and Ms Sonali Mob # 09654597171 stating that we are from HDFC life ins. ,your Bonus amounting to rs.56000/- on aforesaid Policy is due .Simply you have to invest Rs.25000/- on special Money back policy only provided to senior citizens and this amont also will be treated as license fee ,you will be provided a license No. by this # you will get yearly bonus in your account. Since this is special money back policy ,this amount of Rs.25000/- also will be returned to you along with Bonus within 3 days after receiving the policy documents. and your policy will be automatically cancelled. The local person who approached to father was Mr. AAKAS mob. # 09044703073 .He told my father that you already know about the policy ,My father the proposer told him to show the details of policy to my daughter while getting her signature on who’s name the policy will be taken. Since I live with my In-Laws on different Address in Kanpur only. After taking Cheque and his address poof from my father .the individual approached me and told me that your father has gone through the proposal form ,you simply sign . (Financial consultant code UIPL—9231.)
After receiving the policy on 2nd ept.12 When I saw the policy ,to my surprise it was not Money Back policy and no provision of Bonus was provided on my earlier Policy as was being told by HDFC Life agent. After this I approached to the individuals through phone and SMS ,but no body responded to my calls .
This proves that there is certainly a Racket operating with in HDFC life insurance for cheating the customer through it’s agents/franchisee , as they are approaching the customer for and on behalf of HDFC life insurance ,by giving various false promises and information about policy,. which is wrong legally and morally HDFC life can not ignore such tactics applied by it’s Agents /franchisees on the plea that they are giving a good amount of business. The ultimate responsibility lies on HDFC life and should monitor the activities of such franchisees.& Courier services etc.
In my particular case ,After verifying from all corners by HDFC Life Ins accepted .that I did not receive the policy in Feb,12 , and sent the policy in Oct.12 ,Which I received by me on 2nd Sept12 then why the dispatched record is not updated by HDFC life ins.. employee . Why intentionally I am not allowed for pre look of policy .Is it due to pressure of Agents / franchisees as their tactics failed in my case. Why HDFC life Ins. is not taking care to the customer’s grievances and supporting such fraudial Rackets.
From my side I ensure, that no false statement has been given by me ,This can be very well appreciated that excluding HDFC life ins policy owned by me ,my father is already running a HDFC life Ins. (policy no. 13293179 ) for ten years at the yearly premium of Rs.40,000/-
Sir, leaving apart the cheating and falls promises by HDFC std life Broker /Franchisee. I have to state that when I will not be provided the policy documents then I could I know about pre look period then how can I re- think. In my case this the only fact that I received policy bond first time on 2nd Sept12 .and my pre-look period was from 2nd Sept. Then I could apply.
Sir; Why it is so, that What so ever foul tricks/promises applied by insurance companies for cheating a common man The life ins. company pretend to be true and fair and the customer ,who invest his hard earned money on their promises, is treated as liar & criminal . Sir, I am feeling very helpless.
In view of the above , I humbly request your honour (IRDA) to kindly help me, in providing pre-look period and to cancel my this disputed Policy. I and father have already been harassed,1st in getting the policy bond and now for pre look. I hope IRDA will help me .
Sir: if the facts explained above by me appears to be baseless then I may be left on my fate.
