Dear Madam/Sir, I availed the school bus service for my two children for a newly opened DAV Public School (address: Indrapuri, Kesharinagar, Patna, Bihar). The school deployed bus from another DAV Public School (address: Postoffice road, Shashtrinagar, Patna). This school bus used to ferry children upto the Shashtrinagar DAV and from there a TATA Magic mini van used to ferry the children upto the school. Same transportation process was used after completion of classes. The school timing of both DAV’s were different and so my children have to wait at DAV Shashtrinagar. Due to this my children had to suffer a lot and apart from classes they used to spend almost 3 hours. The bus timing was also erratic as it used to give priority to DAV Shashtrinagar students. I availed the bus till summer vacation (May 2012) and stopped availing the service after summer vacation (June 2012). I used my own car and driver to ferry children to & fro school. When the results declared and admission for next class started in Apr 2013, I was told by the school authority to clear the dues of the school bus else my children will not get admission to next class. Since I cannot go to another school due to closure of admission application process, I was forced to pay school bus fees of Rs.13500 for 9 months (July 2012 till Mar 2013). What legal option do I have?
