I had used my HDFC debit card at a vendor and the machine declined the card twice, i saw the msg too.. post which i got a msg on my phone that my account of hdfc has been debitted of that amount twice while the machine declined it.

That very moment i got again a msg frm hdfc with reversal of one debit.one payment got reversed but yet the other is pending and rather my account has been debited.

my money has not been rerversed yet.
