Had bought a new Sansung Star Moible Phone on 9th SEP 09. The very next day I was facing some network problem. I went to samsung service center at Ghatkopar (E) – Mb# 9321397416. The engineer had examined the phone and informed us that the motherboard of the handset is faulty and they cannot repair. Afterwhich he had issued us a DO letter which says that the handset is faulty and the same is to be replaced by the shop where the handset was purchased. However now twice we had visited that shop with the phone bill and the DO letter issued by the service centre but the shopkeeper (Jenil Electronics – Ghatkopar east) had clearly refused us to exchange the handset giving us the reason that their job is to sell the phones and the manufacturing company shuold take responsibility if an consumer found any defect after purchasing the cell phone. Than again we had visited the service centre but he told us that he cannot do anything. Afterwhich we had visited the police station to loddged a complaint against samsung mobile company and the Shop (Jenile Electronics) but the cops refused to register the file showing us their cell phones telling us that even they have purchase their cell phones from that shop and it’s working absolutely fine with them. Now we don’t know where to go as 60 days have passed away and currently the cell phone is with the service centre. The sad part is that I had hardly used that new cell phone for max. 10 hrs. and spent Rs.8150/- for a faulty mobile phone
